Day 1 Jackson Hole:

Welcome to Jackson Hole! We will be spending our first two nights in Jackson Hole a 48 mile valley sunk in between the Teton an Gros Ventre Mountains. After setting up camp in the shadow of the Grand Tetons, we will head into Jackson for dinner. Jackson is a vibrant western town, it's airport (Wyoming’s largest) serves as the gateway to Wyoming's natural wonders for many.

Day 2 Snake River:

At 1,078 miles the Snake River is the longest tributary of the Columbia River. In 1805, Lewis and Clark sailed the Snake to Columbia on their expedition to the Pacific. Today, we will be riding the river on a whitewater rafting adventure of our own.

Day 3-Grand Tetons:

The Grand Tetons are the defining feature of Grand Teton National Park. The Grand Teton, which owns the highest peak in the park, has an elevation of 13,775ft and rises more than 7,000 feet from the floor of Jackson Hole. The epic peaks of the Tetonic Range will be the backdrop for today's hike. After the hike, it will be time to load up the van and head to West Yellowstone MT where we will camp for the night.

Day 4-Yellowstone:

This morning we will get our first look at Yellowstone National Park and it's other worldly geothermic activity. Yellowstone, the United States first National Park, was established in 1872. The park's wildlife includes elk, bison, grizzly bear and wolf. Today, we will be concentrating on the parks geothermal features. Geysers, hot springs, mud pots and fumaroles make up some of the over 10,000 geothermal features in the park. Seeing the Grand Prismatic Spring and watching Old Faithful erupt are awe inspiring sights the one will never forget.

Day 5-Wild, Wild, West:

After cleaning up camp, we hit the road to Cody WY. Cody gets it's name from Pony Express rider and frontier entertainer Buffalo Bill Cody. Cody is known as the Rodeo Capital of the World and tonight we will see one of Cody's famous rodeos for ourselves. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The trip to Cody will include stops for short hikes, animal viewings and a visit to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

Day 6- Beartooth Pass:

Check your camera batteries, charge your phones. Today we will be taking one of the most spectacular drives of your life. This 68 mile portion of Highway 212, the Beartooth Highway, is a National Scenic Byway and one of only 31 classified as All American roads. The road zig-zags and switchbacks 3,000 feet over a 12 mile stretch. This vertigo inducing, death defying climb leads to some of the most spectacular views in the country.

Day 7- Back to Yellowstone:

Alarms clocks will be buzzing early this morning. We will be waking with the animals as we head into Yellowstone National Parks, Lamer Valley. The valley is home to herds of bison, a pack of wolves, elk and grizzly. All fingers will be crossed that we can get a chance to see all of these fantastic beasts in the natural environment. Besides roaming with the bison, the day will also include hiking and a farewell dinner when we arrive back in Jackson.
